Default how much of scale weight lost is water

Ive cut from 304lbs to 247lbs, my waist has gone from 53 to 44 inches. At 6 ft tall I still have a bit to goes . I have a few years of lifting under my belt so I have built up some muscle so I think I should have a good physique at 180-186lbs with a 32 inch waist. The goal is a 32 inch waist anyway so we will see what the weight is when Im there . I have 61-67lbs of scale weight to lose , does anyone here have any idea how much of that scale weight will be actually water? Its obviously not all going to be fat ?

Eat at maintenance for couple weeks and see how much extra you gain. Something you should do a few times when losing 100+ lbs anyway. Should be in the ballpark. Nice work so far.

On a moderate-carb diet, the average person will be retaining around 1.5 pounds of water weight just from carbs on a regular basis. If you go on a fast or simply stop eating all carbohydrates, you'll lose that 1.5 pounds immediately. You did not gain 5 pounds of fat from one unhealthy meal.
