Default Beta Alanine: Any Good?

There's quite a number of articles and studies that show beta alanine to be a good supplement, with some calling it "the next creatine." I'm skeptical, especially after reading some things counter to the hype.

Can anyone share stories about their experiences on beta alanine? I'm thinking of buying it from this site: http://purebulk.com/

Just stick to creatine mono. The benefits of beta-alanine are debatable and if you do see any benefit, it would be marginal at best, IMO.

Most of the studies on beta-alanine show positive results and it does seem to do something. Biggest hassle is that it's a pain in the butt to take. I'm sure we have discussed it on the forum previously.

I started taking it about a month ago along with creatine.

No idea if it's doing a damn thing, honestly. Recovery does seem a little better but that could just be the creatine.

Also the 4x/day dosing scheme is something I tend to forget/avoid.

The bro-science and the real science seems to suggest that it's worth trying, even though neither is unanimously praiseworthy of beta alanine. I'll post my experience in a month or so. Thanks!

The studies are promising at this point, the application is a pain. I got zero out of it but I do a lot of high intensity work and presumably, have less room to improve buffering capacity. At worst it will do nothing

Only thing I can feel while using it is some of my muscles contracting, i.e. face muscles strange feeling. Does it work - didnt notice almost anything tbh, maybe a bit improved work capacity.

I take 2 grams pre w/o in the morning and 2 grams later in the day. The tingling sensation is very cool, kind of makes "feel" like it is working. As far in gym results, it seems as though my endurance has improved slightly in the 12-15 rep range.

That's more than you really need and taking smaller doses (400-800 mg 4X/day) more frequently will work better. No study has gone over 3.2 grams that I am aware of

Beta Alanine makes me feel like I'm having a severe allergic reaction...my skin crawls all while it feels like its sunburned... all for a negligible effect.
